The article observes potential participation of SE "Zorya"―"Mashproekt" GTR&PC in implementation of the program for renovation of Ukraine’s gas transportation system facilities. The mentioned state enterprise, as an originator of the method of compressor stations renovation by means of a heavy upgrading of gas pumping units, has a long experience of successful implementation of tens of such projects in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Bulgaria. The examples and propositions for modernization of gas pipe-lines of "Ukrtransgaz" PJSC gas transportation sys-tem are set forth in the article

Pinned Low Energy Electronic Excitation in Metal Exchanged Vanadium Oxide Nanoscrolls

We measured the optical properties of mixed valent vanadium oxide nanoscrolls and their metal exchanged derivatives in order to investigate the charge dynamics in these compounds. In contrast to the prediction of a metallic state for the metal exchanged derivatives within a rigid band model, we find that the injected charges in Mn2+^{2+} exchanged vanadium oxide nanoscrolls are pinned. A low-energy electronic excitation associated with the pinned carriers appears in the far infrared and persists at low temperature, suggesting that the nanoscrolls are weak metals in their bulk form, dominated by inhomogeneous charge disproportionation and Madelung energy effects.Comment: 4 figure

Personalization framework for adaptive robotic feeding assistance

    Get PDF
The final publication is available at link.springer.comThe deployment of robots at home must involve robots with pre-defined skills and the capability of personalizing their behavior by non-expert users. A framework to tackle this personalization is presented and applied to an automatic feeding task. The personalization involves the caregiver providing several examples of feeding using Learning-by- Demostration, and a ProMP formalism to compute an overall trajectory and the variance along the path. Experiments show the validity of the approach in generating different feeding motions to adapt to user’s preferences, automatically extracting the relevant task parameters. The importance of the nature of the demonstrations is also assessed, and two training strategies are compared. © Springer International Publishing AG 2016.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft

The problem of genesis and systematic of sedimentary units of hydrocarbon reservoirs

    Get PDF
The problem of identifying and ranking sedimentation, facies associations and their constituent parts - lithogenetic types of sedimentary rocks was considered. As a basis for paleo-sedimentary modelling, the author has developed a classification for terrigenous natural reservoirs, that for the first time links separate sedimentological units into a single hierarchical system. Hierarchy ranking levels are based on a compilation of global knowledge and experience in sediment geology, sedimentological study and systematization, and data from deep-well coresrepresentingJurassichydrocarbon-bearing formationsof the southeastern margin of the Western Siberian sedimentary basin

Dynamics of Digital Inequality in Russia

    Get PDF
This article contains research about the phenomenon of digital inequality among different social groups in Russia. The short literature review, conducted in it, concerns the factors, which have an impact on the rise and spread of digital inequality. The types of digital inequality have been analyzed, and each of them has the relative digital divide indicators calculated. It has been revealed, that the digital divide in terms of the Internet and information and communications technology access between the rural and urban population has been decreased, however the divide in terms of digital skills has been increased. There is almost no digital divide in ICT among the middle-aged groups, and it is constantly decreasing. Although the digital divide among the older-aged groups is also growing down, it is still high, and the divide in digital skills remains unchanged. It is noted, that the country’s territory in length objectively increases the IT infrastructure costs, hampers providing for the high-quality internet-connection for the rural people and is the reason for digital divide in terms of Internet-access

Descriptive study of the flora of the "Relic Oaks" landscape reserve (Eastern Siberia) in the context of the protected area importance for maintaining biodiversity

The article shows the importance of specially protected areas for preserving the gene pool of rare and useful plants in Siberia on the example of the "Relic oaks" state landscape reserve. The landscape reserve is located on the territory of Eastern Siberia (Russia), on the two large floristic areas of Holarctic: Circumboreal and East-Asian. During the study, 696 species of higher vascular plants have been identified in the territory of the landscape reserve. The prevailing families are following: Asteraceae, Poaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rosaceae, Cyperaceae, Fabaceae, Caryophyllaceae, Brassicaceae, Apiaceae, and Scrophulariaceae. In the territory of landscape reserve, 4 floral complexes were identified: alpine, forest, steppe and meadow-alluvial, as well as 10 chorological groups. The feature of the flora was prevalence of forest and steppe plant species with the East Asian type of habitat. By the number of species, herbaceous plants in the landscape reserve dominate over arboreal plants, and shrubs have the largest share among arboreal plants. The spectrum of life forms of plants shows the climatic conditions of the territory at the border of large floral areas and zones of vegetation. On the studied territory, there are 171 species of higher vascular plants (24.5% of the total flora composition in the landscape reserve), are rare and protected in various regions of Siberia
